Hi Buddy, Check out your local area for a computer/ham fest. These are basically swapfests and garage sales for computers. New equiptment is generally available but you have to watch what you pay for it. Broken and older equiptment are almost free for the hauling. You may even get the chance to pick and choose the system you want.
