No brilliant ideas, but perhaps a few thoughts...

I am in Phoenix, where there is a "Computer Rennaissance" store that sells
used (old) computers for just over reasonable prices. (It's a business.) A
big store around here, MicroAge, had a salvage outlet for lunch-time walk-ins
that had what most people would call junk, but I found to be a toyland. They
seem to have sold that place, or maybe spun it off because it has a different
name on the door. The new managers like everything to look neat so you can't
rummage around anymore - I haven't been back lately. An internet sight that
may be off the mark a bit is www.refurbcity.com where they sell "open-box"
specials, returns, and real refurbs for less than original cost - take a look.

Hope this helps you - 73, Alex (kx9i)
