An interesting thing that I think people may have missed was this tidbit: Mobile Linux was designed to run from flash ram obviating the need for a hard drive. Hard drives are a big consumer of power in mobile devices, but if your application can run with FLASH and RAM as your only storage, it could be a very low power device. BitGeek
