This is just a heads-up information post about wearable
miniature display systems that are small enough to clip
onto existing eyeglass frames. Additional information on
other systems that they are developing is also available:

   MicroOptical Integrated Eyeglass Displays

Because they are integrated, you will have to send your
eyeglass prescription to them so that they can get the
eyeglasses made. Their eyeglasses perform the same
functions as ordinary corrective lenses, sunglasses, or
even safety glasses (if you request that version).

Of note is that their ClipOn Display Developers Kit is
available now in small quantities to qualified system
integrators and manufacturers, and includes a video
converter to accept VGA or NTSC input.

The method utilized in their miniature systems is Optical
MEMS technology developed with DARPA funding (so you paid
for it via taxes) and it can be used to reduce optical
systems to integrated circuit scale.

I'm amazed and looking forward to 16-bit color (when it
gets more affordable).
