Perhaps if the glove was fitted with accelerometers and soem form of analogue
tilt switch the position of the arm could be infered from the attitude of the
hand, and how it got here. On the other hand (sorry), accelerometers and tilt
switches could form the basis of a purely hand based gesture system. The system
would require some training for personalised usage. I vaguely remember using
some unix based cad package that could recognise 'mouse gestures' ( cimcad?),
isn't this similar? In fact its like 3d handwriting recognition. You could even
write in the air with your finger!
