We've been experiencing miscelaneous problems with the propogation of
the new newsgroup comp.sys.wearables. It was started June 10, 1998 and
has slowy appeared in most places. I'm not sure why there would be
problems with upstream providers passing you the group. The newsgroup
has been fairly quiet over the past few days, so its possible you are
getting it but you just aren't seeing messages because there haven't
been any. It looks like the last post to the group was dated Thu July
9. Is this a possible explanation?
A second problem we have encountered is the security on the submission
address prevents some hosts from delivering messages. It was supposed
to be fixed, but in my experience there's a 50% chance when you ask a
sysadmin to look into a problem, he claims to fix it, but overlooked
something or had no idea what he was talking about. :)
Unfortunately, we're in no position to repropogate the newsgroup
creation commands. That's solely a David Lawrence thing. But if it
remains clear that there are problems after a couple more weeks we may
have to ask for this.
If you encounter any problems with submitting a post send it directly to
this address(wearable@cif.rochester.edu).
If you wish this message to be posted, let me know. Otherwise I will
assume you just wanted to get this response from the csw moderators.
Sorry you're having problems.
Just FYI; DejaNews carries comp.sys.wearables
