Hi all. Although wearable computing and the technology surrounding it is fun and cool, I thought that this newsgroup could use some good hypothetical discussion. I'm actually a technologist in an information technology consulting firm who has been doing research into the benefits of wearable computing over other computing types (e.g. PDAs, laptops, desktops). The goal is to really recommend the use of wearables to those clients who demonstrate needs that go beyond other methods. Now, I recognize that there are opportunities in such industries as Defense, Manufacturing, and some Civil Services. But, I would like to see about going beyond those and into more business-oriented industries. So, I guess I'm looking for a spew session on where everyone sees wearables being used beyond the general 'whatever' answer that's given most often. How are wearables better suited than other computing devices? Anyone up to the challenge? -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum
