Getting started with the Twiddler

I just received my Twiddler! For now I am going to use it with a Toshiba
Libretto laptop running Linux 2.0 and Jeff Levine's Linux driver, which
I downloaded from Handykey's web site. I had no major problems setting
things up (except the twid_defaults.ini included in the archive would only
parse correctly after I changed the CR/LF style line endings to LF only).
Now comes the hard part: getting used to the Twiddler and learning to type.
To get up to speed, I'd be grateful for any advice. Is there a FAQ for the
Twiddler? Are there any Twiddler related mailing lists where I can meet
other Twiddler users? I'd especially like to know which key mappings
people use -- the standard one or custom ones like Brad Rhodes' `SHRDLU'
mapping (which I also got from Handykey's download page and which looks
quite appealing to me). Is `SHRDLU' from 1996-01-04 still state of the
art? I would prefer to learn a mapping that is known to work well in
practice.
Thank you,
Arndt
