Matrix Orbital LCDs - Wiring Question

I just have a quick question to anyone who has worked with the LCDs and VFDs
from Matrix Orbital.  I'm going to be wiring one to my HP95LX palmtop as a
serial display unit and my questions is:  The LCD uses rs232, and the HP95lX
has an rs232 port, but its an odd on, just 4 pins; a Tx,Rx, shield and signal
ground.  It lacks things like a CTS/RTS pin and such.  Does anyone think that
it will still owrk with the display?  Thanks.
