I must add that I plan to add a 2900 BTU/hr infrared illuminator to my moped. I already have the Quick Cam and a 386 pen tablet that mounts over the speedometer housing. The illuminator will be powered by propane from a 14 ounce cannister. They are available at Campmor and are inexpensive. I have no idea how much near IR will come from this rig, and how much will be reflected to the camera, but I want to add propane in any case. The grey scale performance of that computer sucks, though. It has 256 K of video RAM but only works in 16 colors. So instead of 16 greys from the camera to the screen, you have 16 greys coming in and being turned into dithered combinations of the 16 somewhat glaring Windows colors, which are turned back into a crappy looking gray mess by the LCD translator. I would appreciate any help with this. Also the parallel port is not as fast as it could be but I don't plan on changing that. Yours, Doug Goncz Replikon Research, Fairfax County, VA
