    Well, I just got (another) splint for my wrist, and they used some
    thermoplastic that gets very flexible and slightly stretchable for
    a time at about 180 F, and then returns to semi-rigidity. I didn't
    get the name out of them of the substance, but you could easily do
    molding of wrist rests, palm keyboards, etc., out of it.

The material is called Kydex.
