There's a kit announced at http://www.sensoryinc.com/html/products/voicedirect364.html which is supposed to be able to recognise 15 words with greater than 99% accuracy. It's speaker dependent and so needs training to reach that level. Retails for $49.95 and should be available now. Not much use for general data input but cold easily control a menu system for the increasing array of sensors that are being coupled to wearables.
