Greetings! I tried out the PLM-A35 monocular hack today, muchos kudos to Clifford Leung for his detailed walkthrough as everything went almost perfectly (just be careful with those tiny screws!). This being my first "real" wearable display though, a few questions... 1 -- Approximately how long does it take for the eyes to get used to monocular displays? Right now it's partly fascinating but also partly annoying to watch my eyes swap back and forth out of their own accord between the display and reality depending on what stands out where... 2 -- I'm still using the Glasstron frame, although I'll probably transplant the display into sunglasses soon. For now, how well does that groovy insect-blue cover react to radical surgery with hacksaw or soldering iron? 3 -- The Glasstron cable including stereo audio, I was thinking about hacking it so that one channel would be mono output and one would be mono input. Unfortunately, it appears that the audio amplifier in the battery pack mutes any incoming signal rather effectively... but it should be possible to bypass the (crappy) amp entirely. Opening up the case, for the tri-stereo input jack I presume "7R" and "1L" are right and left with "1G" being video, but the output cable is trickier... it seems that the top side of the circuit board handles audio and the lower side video, but that still leaves orange, red, brown, gray and thin black to choose from (the thick black is obviously ground). The circuit board doesn't look too complex, but I'm not a microelectronics person... any ideas?
