Height determination

Someone has probably posted this long ago, but I just thought of it
while in chem class the other day...
Have a laser rangefinder between your eyes, and a tilt sensor on the side
of your head. Take a range reading to the top of someone's forehead, and
a range reading to their feet, and find the difference in angle between
where your head was with the two readings. Now you have the length
of two sides and an angle of a triangle, calculate the last side and that's
approximately their height.
