You let your targetting system detect the bounced IR beam and do the calculations. All you get to see is the height, range, locked cross-hairs or whatever on your display. One benefit (amongst the many) of wearable computers is that they both extend the spectrum you can perceive and can offload some of the processing of the incoming data.
