floaating 3d imagery a reality?

This would be really neat, if it is economically/physically feasable i
don't know, in augmented reality and wearable computing....

I wonder how large the unit is? If it is small/small power consumption you
could have a floating display in front or use it in augmented
reality.. looked kinda neat.
