When I was looking I ran into the same thing. You can find ISA cards
that are supportted, but not PC-104. All of the Linux supported cards
are PC-104+.
Matrox has both the Meteor and Meteor-II (PC-104+), but I don't know
the driver support for the Meteor-II. It has a video compression chip
built into it. That's what I was looking for. I really want a DV
compatible compression engine, but short of making the board myself I
don't see that being available.

At this point I'm feeling that going with a digital USB camera and
only doing 640/480 at 15fps or 320/
is the realistic way
to go. That is assuming you wish to capture the world, not a video
feed:).
