SVGA textmode increases the size of the text, you can run at 40x15 and many higher settings You can mount it as is, get a different cable, mount it in front of glasses, or add a mirror and rip it apart and put it in glasses I have run an M1 directly off a Sony Li-Ion battery. there is a voltage regulator in the unit, I don't know what the range is, but I think 5-9 volts is around right, dunno how it would work off a 10.3v battery..
