Make sure you get 960's not 950's. THe 960 is the exact same size as
a 950 and it packes more power. If memory serves 38.8 W/h to the 950's 32.4.

Joseph> Anyway, that's a lot ;). Is there any way to get them cheaper?

Not much, if you ar affiliated with a school you *may* find a place
that will give you an education discount. You can always ask.

Joseph> If not, is there anything else that's cheaper but works well?

You can go up in weight and way down in price and go for lead gel.
But in the long run, the sony's are cheep - I say that because they
will just work for you every day withought complaining for several
years. If you do that math too you will find that they are very cost
effective.

You can go with the smaller sonys, I don't know if they are cost
effective but they are smaller/lighter (and less power). Or you could
go with one 960. Depending on your rigs load, that might do all you
need. I get 5 hours minimum off a single Sony NP-F960.

When you are doing your calculations, don't forget a charger - $40 or
$50.
