The most popular place for wear-harders to get batteries is
http://www.batterybarn.com/

click on *camcorder batteries*, then search by *battery part #*, then
click on *Sony*, then NP-F960

NP-F960 is the wear-hard standard. You can get *one* for only $113 which
includes shipping (all batterybarn prices include shipping). Greg gets 5
hours, but you have to remember that Greg purposely doesn't use X windows
in order to save power, so you'll have to do this too. Also, Greg, last
I'm aware of, is using a pretty state-of-the-art embedded computer which
may give him substantially lower power consumption than the alternatives,
one of which you may own or have in your wearable plans...

If you don't want to go with the 960, Lenmar is the standard Sony battery
clone maker. They don't have a clone for the 960, but they clone the 750
and the 950, $68 and $100 respectively (at batterybarn). Whay you would
pay $100 for a 32.4 WH battery when you could get a Sony 38.8 WH battery
for $13 more I don't know, but there's your choice...

Battery barn el cheapo carger is $46. Tethered charging may cause you some
problems as in, LiIon chargers are all smart chargers. AFAIK you can't
just give plain juice to a LiIon battery. Out of my tiny league, here --
ask again and/or check the archives.
