software pointer

I think it was someone on this list that had a pointer a month or so ago to
some Linux software that could monitor a (supported) video camera, and
trigger events based on movement in an area of the frame. Unfortunately, I
can't find the link. If it was someone here, can you resend it?

Also, I got a Philips USB webcam, model 665K, yesterday, and it works
great. Plus it is discontinued, so CompUSA is selling them for $19.95! Worth
picking up a couple if you can find them. High quality picture, and VGA
resolution...
