I've seen a lot of discussion about inexpensive wearable display devices, but they all seem to have major drawbacks. For my project, money really isn't much of a big deal (as long as the display device isn't over US$1500 or so). What really matters to me is: display resolution, power, and convenience. I don't want some big and bulky CRT hanging off my head, and don't want to lose the use of one eye to a dedicated display device. I'd rather not have some small LCD display hanging from a boom in front of my face either, but thats less obtrusive. Something like the MicroOptical display (http://www.microopticalcorp.com) would be preferrable, or like the MicroVision display (http://www.mvis.com/). Unfortunatly, neither are in production yet. Does anyone know of any good devices that meet this criteria? I don't need color and don't need super high resolutions...just something reliable, readable, and low power. Thanks.
