Steve and Michael- I played with some of the Sony PC Glasstrons when my SONY friend was in town. They are cool. Not to mention they are shaded and partially transparent, plus have their own LI battery. The only thing is that they are pricey, I have found an alternative: buy the RCA VIDEO GLASSTRONS for $599.00 and then use a $100 external VGA to NTSC convertor that will support 800/600 (there are tons of brands out there.) The major drawback about that is they have an enclosed display and make mobility very difficult. Mobility/Price it's just a decision factor. Does anyone know a good distributor for mini-motherboards? I'd like to build a spec like IBM's, check this link out: http://www.atip.or.jp/WEAR/slides/kamijoh/ SLIDE 7 link.... Good Luck. Justin -----Original Message----- From: Stefan H. Subject: Re: Good display devices Hello Michael, MN> I've seen a lot of discussion about inexpensive wearable display devices, but they all seem to have major drawbacks. For my project, money really isn't much of a big deal (as long as the display MN> device isn't over US$1500 or so). What really matters to me is: display resolution, power, and convenience. I don't want some big and bulky CRT hanging off my head, and don't want to lose the MN> use of one eye to a dedicated display device. I'd rather not have some small LCD display hanging from a boom in front of my face either, but thats less obtrusive. Well, I wouldn't consider $1500 cheap, but that's not that much for a good display. I' looking for a capable display as well and took a look at the eGlasses (www.virtualvision.com), but the evaluation kit, which looks like it would suit my needs very well is quite pricy. $5000. I think you might want to take a look at Sonys glasses, which is a cute little pair of glasses. No bulky thing on your head :). I have no experience with this one, but it seems like a quite easy to use solution. /steve Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" to
