(assuming that the timeport is similar to the star tacs)

Anyone got their star tac phone working with a linux box?

I am looking to use the digital side of the phone only (requires the
serial cable for $79 [!], don't want to spend $369 on the modem ;)

what I have:
pc110 w/ 2 PCMCIA slots, cannot access the serial ports (no dock) :(
star tac 7760 w/ Bell-Atlantic service (does digital+analog)
(I heard digital wireless data on this may not work)

Bryan, are you just using a Hayes command set to talk to the phone through
the serial port?

thanks,
Prashant
