Thanks for all your input so far, it will def. help in the project. Anyone here have any suggestions for my project? Its a science Fair Proejct(High School Level) And I was going to do something along the lines of "The Design and Construction of a less Expensive Wearable(wearable being the key word to make ppl go ohh and ah like anyoen else on their first discovery such a thing exsisted) Computer. I was going to use a Modified Laptop, prolly a 486 75 or 100mHz with 32 Mb Ram, and either a 800mb or 1 gig Hdd. For display I'm going to use a 2.5 to 3 inch lcd tv with a Video Input jack. For input I'll use the micro keyboard im building and maybe the phillps Speech mike because it has a trackball, speaker, and microphone..unless someone thinks it uses too much power, and also my quick cam with the IR lighting i built around it so i have Partial night vision(and that will run off external power cause it seems to kill my current laptop's battery). Since I'm buying everything use(other than the tv..which I own if i decided to stick with the 2.5 inch, the keyboard, and the speechmike). And I expect it to cost around 150 or less for the laptop(from watching price trends on ebay, I've seen a 75mHz with a 850mb hdd and 16 mb ram go for 100), and since i own everything else i'm just going to put the estimated current cost on the project which should total under 200, so over all around 350-400 dollars for the Wearable. Think thats cheap enough? I'm going to be putting it against others and list their prices to show that it actually is cheaper(or is it?) Anything you can tell me to fix with this would be great!
