While I was at Cebit I went looking for microdisplays. I first found Eye-Trek from Olympus http://www.eye-trek.com/welcome_e.html I was a bit dissapointed by this display. Hard to put my finger on exactly why, but the image seemed a bit pixelated. I am not sure whether the model I tried was FMD-700 or FMD-200 so the if it was the low end version the other might be better quality. Next I found a Korean company called DAEYANG which had a stand together with MicroDisplay Corp. They had one of the most impressive display I have tried. From just a quick try I would say that there is a world of difference in the quality of their 'Cy-Visor' compared to the Eye-Trek. http://www.personaldisplay.com/ I also talked with the guy from MicroDisplay and tried their evaluation kit which seemed the same image quality. http://www.microdisplay.com/products/fsckit3.html The kit looks very expensive ($2000) so I asked if they would release any commercial monocular display. He said they expected one to ship sometime this year at about $300- $400. -- Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org
