Hey all, I'm new to the list and have a few wearable-hardware things to sell, I hope its appropriate. These are parts from a audio-feedback wearable I built a few years ago, and I'm now upgrading. The wearable consisted of a vanilla notebook with(original prices): Linux (priceless) :) Doubletalk LT($500) and Emacspeak using Doubletalk speech driver Twiddler ($200) Garmin 12 GPS ($150) Novatel Wireless Merlin CDPD modem ($200) Make me an offer on any of these parts if you are interested, I'm thinking about 1/3rd original price. I wrote a few custom emacs-lisp scripts to control volume and mpg123 from keystrokes. I'm still working on emacs speaking my "address" by doing a lookup via my gps coordinates into mapblast, and writing emacs-lisp scripts to have TNT speak aim messages to me. If anybody is interested in any of this software or wants to help, let me know. I've upgraded my wearable to: Twiddler2 CRUX GPS pcmcia card Merlin Richocet I'm now doing speech via software. Eventually I want a really small box with two pcmcia slots(bandwidth and gps) and usb to use instead of the notebook. Thanks!
