Realtime OS & wearable (QNX anyone ?)

Ok...This time I _did_ search the list archives :-)

Has anyone tried QNX on their wearable? or RTLinux?
or any of the other 'realtime'/'embedded' OS's around?
(pSoS anyone ? :-) ) I'd think they'd be a natural
for a wearable...

I have some experience with QNX, and its all be very
positive. Its probably the stabliest OS I've used,
not to mention one of the smallest :P QNX is available
free for personal use, and I highly recommend giving
it a try.. it _ROCKS_ !

Hmm..the rest sounds like an add for QNX...sorry
my enthusasm got the best of me..mea culpa :-)

  It's a micro-kernel RTOS specifically designed for
embedded uses - even includes a lightweight X clone
(Photon). I would think it would be a natural for
wearables ??

I've installed QNX on my home machine, and the
hardware support was GREAT ! It's one of the
nicest installs I've done, recognized all my
hardware, configured it properly, and even
mounted my ext2 partitions :-) (yes, it is
ext2 friendly :-) ) It detected my athelon as
a very fast x86, installed accerated drivers for
my GeoForce card, and support every feature of
my Creative SB Live ! card that I'm aware of...

Its small, fast, doesn't have the IDE 'hiccups'
non-rt kernels like Linux have (ie MP3's don't skip
- no matter how many yer playing - I stopped
counting at 10)

Feature set is good - networking (including
their own 'smart' networking features a la
Inferno), sound, acclerated Video, graphics
Being a microkernel, you only load the parts you
need, giving it a small footprint and its not
memory crazy..

Now for the downside - USB is not yet in the
standard release. You can apply patches for USB
support (no harder then Linux kernel patches)
