Re: [iPAQ] PCMCIA VGA - major step forward!! (fwd)

Just FYI - after some inquiries i got the PCMCIA VGA chip initialisation
description / example C code from Colorgraphic. It's for their Voyager
PCMCIA VGA card.

If somebody is familiar with PCMCIA and/or VGA programming and wants to
help, just drop me a note, so that i can forward the infos.

Apart from that - Alan Hourihane (i sent him the code) seems to be very
close to making an X server (external VGA) for the iPAQ now. I'm not
really sure whether he really means "HP VGA card" (that's the other
alternative available - i would be really surprised if the Voyager code
would help making the HP card work as well.
The TinyX server he mentions is part of the XFree86 sources.

Anyway - 1 step closer to making presentations / having a "full
featured"? wearable with just a PDA running Linux.

An update from my end.

Ok. I can now talk to the HP VGA card, and I'm hitting registers directly.

The next step is to make an ix86 Xserver with Keith's TinyX implementation.

Once I've got this working, it should just be a matter of cross-compiling
for the ARM processor.

Alan.
