hmmm....I will admit...E is *beautiful*..but I don't think it would be
a good wearcomp WM:

1- Using up RAM that could otherwise be used for live data, apps and
   (importantly) disk cache.

2- The chrome is top-notch...and would increase the cognitive load on the user.

My (theoretical, since my last wearcomp was text only) choices would go
for LWM (http://users.ch.genedata.com/~enh/lwm/) or Ratpoison
(http://ratpoison.sourceforge.net/).

I've been using LWM almost non-stop for the last few years and it's been
all I need for a WM.
(the other's I've used for more than a few minutes were BlackBox and E)
The stripped LWM bin is ~25kB and it's memory footprint is < 600kB.
I haven't compared speed with other WM, but when calling up an xterm
or making a window dis/appear happens before I release the mouse button,
I don't see the point. :)
