The translucent "pinkish" casing seems > to work quite well...curved edges look pretty comfortable too. The base that the CPU sits in, and some of the bracing is made out of ... tupperware! This goes back to the roots of my first wearable, which was enclosed in a transparent tupperware box (I called it tupperwearable :) This one takes that concept all the way home, honing it down to near commercial grade packaging. Tupperware is tough and light, and edges are rounded, good qualities for wearable enclosures. The shell around the tupperwear is made from ... kids school binder material. Its very light, sexy, and has that cool translucent look. A touch of fabric on the end adds a bit of style. Total cost of enclosure is around five bucks. > Did you have the JAVA logo embroidered on the leather? Very nice. No, the Java logo is from the back of my original "Java Jacket" wearable. That jacket went all over the world, got tossed around, and los gatos (the cats) left some claw punctures in the leather. Eventually it got chopped into peices for leather scavenging, and I saved the logo to make the LCD enclosure. The original leather jacket was replaced with an identical new leather java jacket, it now resides somewhere in Sun's hall of innovation (aka back closet) gathering dust. -- Doug -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org please, Please, *PLEASE* don't subscribe through a forward/false domain
