Hi Matt,

This whole module does get pretty warm, but not to the point of
causing reboots. The PCM-5822 is shipped with a hefty heat sink
that covers the entire top of the board, nice for both heat
dissipation and protection for the board. I have intentionally
left air space near the big heat sink over the CPU, and there is
also a space under the connectors on the side for heat to escape
from the bottom of the board. Everything does run hot, the board,
pcmcia cards, microdrive, and especially the regulator. I will
be adding a heat sink mated to the regulator to cool that down.

I used to run small fans on 200 and 233 CardPCs, they are quite
small, quiet, and low power. Perhaps something like that could
be added to yours (is it fanless?).

Interesting. Sorry, but I don't know anything about underclocking or
overclocking. I think its best to buy SBCs that are designed to be
fanless, and avoid socketed CPUs that require fans. I also think that
you could add some heat sinks on your board.

Pizza and beer. =8^/
