I've just received the LART Kitchen Sink Board (KSB) from Aleph One, to go with the main LART board I've had for some time. The two boards mount together very neatly, and I've found a suitable ABS case at Maplin Electronics, that will just hold the two boards, and the Ethernet board, when it becomes available. It's about 100mm x 115mm x 45 mm, so it'll fit in a pocket, or on my belt. Maplin stock a suitable belt clip. I'll be using a 6V 3.4 AH lead-acid battery to power the thing, carried in a pocket. The LART and KSB only consume 1W, which should give getting on for 20 hours operation out of a charge. Not bad for over 200 MIPS! Initially, I'll be using my Palm IIIx as the user interface. The KSB has keyboard and mouse interfaces, but I'll be making my own chord keyboard. I'll probably use a Private Eye for the display. I'll be putting details of the system on my web page in a few days.
