I did this in highschool. You need a NES extension cable. then you can
hack it instead of your original cable.. Its pretty simple honestly.. you
need a DSUB25pin male end to conenct the wires into and a 5v power source
I think.

I ran the control cables into the parallel port and leached power from teh
game port..

I had a C object file that someone else wrote and didn't design the
physical data setup either..

It worked pretty well though.

I know there were converter boxes for serial too..

I suppose you could mount the three ultrasonic receivers on your right
shoulder, left shoulder and left hip, with the glove on your right arm.
Then you would have to reverse the direction the beacons are facing on the
glove..

Boy would that look borg..
