Yes, I like this! I've done a lot of road er sidewalk time and tried to see if I can really make the wearable useful on the sidewalk, in my car, and in restaurants and coffee shops etc. I once went for one full month tracking my every move logging GPS coords to a server on the net (which meant 24/7 operation). Small things like comfort and ease of use become very important. That's why I put a display on my wrist (sleeve) and buttons on my cuff, two seconds to switch on applicances or launch x-windows or display my shedule, grab camera images, etc. I agree with Brad, if you have to pull something out and attach this and that, or do a long sequence of commands, it loses the whole point of wearable assistance. And if its too involved Brad is right, you won't bother. My vision is one of total integration, with relays and switching circuits managing connections between various audio and video components, voice and data networks, any service on the wearable. Some day I will get there ... Thad: I have a suggestion for Charmed. Sell us power kits with the charging circuitry. Everyone wants this and nobody has it. Its time to move beyond the battery swapping routine, that in itself goes against Brad's principle. If Charmed made a power kit with AC/DC adapter, small charger/monitor board w/rs232 interface, and battery packs, I guarantee you that many people here would buy. -- Doug -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org please, Please, *PLEASE* don't subscribe through a forward/false domain
