prerecorded voice-to-text

Anyone familiar with a tool useful for converting pre-recorded sound files to
text with fair accuracy? I'm particularly interested in a *nix platform, but
other platforms could do. I'm not looking for something to give oral commands,
instead this is mainly a batch-conversion job of large pre-recorded
conversations. The capability to pre-filter large volumes of consistent noise
is also desirable.
