Can you drive a Kopin display from a Basic stamp?

I've been following the discussion of driver hardware. Forgive my
ignorance of electronics, but is there any reason you can't drive a
CyberDisplay from the digital I/O lines on a Basic stamp or one of the
embedded Forth boards? I guess it would be more like a terminal,
because it would have to connect to the wearable via serial (or
something such) AND you'd have to write your own software on the PC
side to do anything interesting, but it'd be low power and cheap. Is
it possible? Is it practical?
