Nomad is finally truly nomadic...

I've finally have ditched the wall outlet with my
wearable, Nomad. Over the weekend I finished the
battery carrier and the power board for my system.

I'm using two Toshiba PA2485U Li-ION 10.8Vdc 5600
mAh laptop batteries in parallel. I left Nomad
running over night to see how long the batteries
would last, it was still running in the morning.
I finally swapped out the batteries (without
rebooting) after twelve hours of use.

Everything fits in my hiking hip pack. The Advantech
case houses the PCM-5822, power board, and disk drive.

If anyone is interested, I can get pictures up
for viewing.

Now all I have to do is start hacking my Cy-Visor
into a monocle, and wire in my GPS unit.
