Well, it's huge for a lumbar pack -- probably just about as big as you can
get without shoulder straps -- though I realize that extreme largeness in
a lumber pack probably isn't everyone's cup-of-tea. As for price, I've
seen them regularly on eBay for ~$50.

What's morbidly fascinating to me, though, is that most medium-sized and
up lumbar packs weigh *more* than full sized frame packs. The BC Office is
over two pounds. Golite backpacking packs OTOH range from 11 oz to 19.5
