My impression is (in the US under Part 15) that a 30 dBm spread-spectrum transmitter can only have a 6 dBi antenna, period. If you wanted a 7 dBi antenna, you would need to reduce the power of the transmitter by 1 dB or 0.3 dB depending on point-to-multipoint or point-to-point, respectively.
