I have seen pole tops routers in utility meter shops and city property
yards.  They wind up there because a pole blew down that had the unit
mounted on it and they pulled the pole.  Most of the time Metricom never
bothered to pick up the units.  Check out to see if any are lying around.

However, they need to be re-programmed for the new Latitude and Longitude
where they will be placed before they will be discovered and begin to work.
