Thats exactly what I'm thinking. Can 8" VGA/TFT 640x480 touchscreens even
be purchased for $89 (was $499 four months ago).

a.. Touchscreen: 7.8 in diagonal color screen
b.. Resolution: 640x480, 12-bit color
c.. Processor: 200 MHz National Semiconductor Geode [can be overclocked to
333MHz]
d.. Connections: 2 RJ-11 jacks, 1 serial port, 2 USB ports, audio out
e.. Memory: 32 MB, 16 MB flash memory [I wonder if memory could hacked like
the iPaq]
f.. External power: External wall mount power supply; 2 prongs [any ideas of
watts???]
g.. Color: linen white [spraypaintable ;-)]
h.. Height: 23 cm (9.2 in)
i.. Width: 30 cm (11.7 in)
j.. Depth (stand open): 18.8 cm (7.4 in)
k.. Audio: Built-in microphone, stereo speakers, audio jack, volume control
l.. USB Ethernet for broadband, and now that it is hacked, USB keyboards,
mice, etc...
