About to assemble PIC-KEY keyboard

I've finally gotten all the materials EXCEPT the
PIC16C63 needed for the pic-key. I found a $10 phone
that's nice to grip and has well spaced keys.

It seems it is very difficult to get a plain phone
these days. I've got more buttons on this unit than I
know what to do with. Although, I'm going to try to
turn some switches into a way to disable the keypad
buttons when not in use. Also included was a caller
ID panel (I'm wondering about using this for battery
monitoring later after it is removed from the phone.
This should leave a clear plastic window for the CAPS
LOCK etc LCDs. I just have one question. What is the
best way to open the phone without damaging the
housing? If it was "snapped" together all the snaps
are internal.

Thanks,
Rick
