Re: ARMLinux for Developers >>> FW: (LART) Parts may be available

For those interested in LART's: If enough of us respond, maybe we'll have a
chance. I'd suggest that those interested in small form factor wearables
subscribe to this list as well - the focus is a lot tighter, but as Doug has
noticed - desktop-replacement wearables are still too far away (at least for
me to wait around. . .:)

PS: One of my (eventual :) projects is substantially the same as the 'sensor
net' idea. Specifically: Receiving all ambient EM radiation in a frequency
spectrum, FFT and cleaning noise, selecting frequencies, and displaying the
results directly, or applying a whole bunch of decoding processes and
actually viewing the TV, radio, or (perhaps most disturbingly) tempest data.
Needless to say, this isn't exactly something that could easily be crunched
down into a wearable. . . but it seems a logical extension of our current
senses. After all, the major reason we're really interested in wearables is
omnipresent information access.

Some LART and KSB parts for sale

This LART list has had some discussion about making boards and parts
available to people who would would assemble them. We have reviewed our
stock of components and costed production of further PCBs, and we are now
ready to test the demand for getting LART and KSB PCBs manufactured and
selling them, with or without some of the parts we have left from
building complete boards

This email is intended to see what demand there is for parts and boards.
Let us know promptly if you would be interested at these prices, and then
we will let you know what the demand justifies us buying.

If demand for bare boards is strong we can place a suitable order for
them. We would like to see orders for 25 sets of EDO RAM, to justify
handling that item.

All the following prices are in GBP, Pounds Sterling. At present GBP1 is
about USD1.46, but this will change. We bill in GBP, not USD. The
following prices include air postage. They do NOT include VAT, and
customers in Britain, or in EU who do not have a Tax Number, must add
17.5% to these prices.

Please note that we are NOT supplying complete kits for you to assemble.
We are offering some parts we have in hand. Payment in advance will be
required, and the PCBs will take 15 working days to make once we place
an order.

We have no PCBs in stock. If the demand justifies it we can have made and
sell the LART PCB for GBP22, and the KSB board for GBP19

We have no EDO DRAM in stock. If the demand justifies it we can get
Microtronic 4LC4M16R6 chips, or equivalent, of which four are needed on
each LART, and sell them on at GBP50 per four.

We have about 20 sets of the following parts for LARTs. Parts not listed
ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM US and we advise you to ensure you can get them
before you order from us.

LART Kit
Microprocessor Supervisor MAX811 SEUS one per kit
RS232 transceiver MAX3223ECAP one per kit
Intel Flash RAM DT28F160F3B95 two per kit
150uF Low ESR Ta Capacitor TPSD175K006R0125 five per kit
We offer these kits at GBP54 per kit,
or WITH the LART circuit board at GBP75

We have about 20 sets of the following parts for KSBoards. Parts not
listed ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM US, and we advise you to ensure you can get
them before you order from us.

KSB Kit
Transistor NDH834P three per kit
Lattice CPLD 2064VE100LT100 one per kit
Lattice CPLD 2128VE100LT100 one per kit
Pots/ADC manager UCB1200BE one per kit
We offer these kits at GBP25 per kit,
or WITH the KSB circuit board at GBP42

The above are parts we have used in the boards we have assembled and
tested. We shall compile the kits with the usual care needed in
handling components, but WE DO NOT GUARANTEE that each component is
perfect or that any assembly you make containing them will work. They are
sold on an AS IS basis.

Also we have significant quantities of the following parts, and would be
happy to handle enquiries from people who may want some of them,
separately from the Kits. A minimum order of GBP 100 is likely to apply.

Intel Flash RAM DT28F160F3B95
Maxim RS232 Transceiver MAX3223ECAP
Maxim Supervisor MAX811SEUS
Lattice CPLD 2128VE100LT100
Lattice CPLD 2064VE100LT100
StrongARM CPUs FADES1100 EF (only a few)

Your rapid response will bring more rapid action. Thanks
