Hi, I am using PCM-5820 a similar board to PCM-5822 and I had the same problem. I am using the board for VoIP application and the the sound quality of these boards is not very good. The effect of noise is significant (I mean the internal hardware noise) But let me ask, whether you adjusted the sound output level.
