Re: quiet sound on 5822

Hi again,

I am about to get a PCM-5822 myself and the volume doesn't *really* concern
me. Appropriate levels would be nice but it is easy enough to add a little
amplifier even only for headphones. Sound quality and signal to noise ratio
DO concern me however because one of my planned uses involves connecting it
to LARGE sound systems (1200W RMS =P). I had assumed that there was clean cd
quality sound but if this is not the case could somebody advise me? Also
does anybody have any experience with PC/104, PCMCIA or USB sound cards
which might be used with this board either instead of or as well as the
onboard (ESS?) card.

Thanks,

Nick
