When I rode school busen, I only worried about bullies playing keepaway
with my textbooks. I can't imagine being worried about them playing
keepaway with my wearable!

Of course, I suppose it could be calling for help and reporting your
GPS position. :-)

Try adding on a "Boosteroo" headphone amplifier. I've seen them on sale
for less than $10. I had previously built an amp myself, but it was much
bulkier and more prone to damage than the Boosteroo. I mostly use
the Boosteroo on my motorcycle to amplify my V1 radar detector loud enough
to be heard over my earplugs, and I still get about a month of almost
daily use out of a single AA battery.
