Well, a little more poking around (this time on Transmeta's website)
indicates that the audio chipset might actually be the VIA VT82C686A
south bridge, which has integrated AC97 audio, and has driver support
in the kernel and ALSA (although it seems that it may require tweaking
to actually get it working):

Advantech Cincinnati is closed now, so I couldn't call to confirm.
Anyone using this chipset on any other hardware (their Linux desktop
motherboard, perhaps), and can attest to it working full-duplex?

Some creative Googling seems to indicate that the SMI Lynx 721 is
really the Silicon Motion Lynx3DM chipset (which is apparently also
the 720, but I've seen SM721 more often). It's apparently supported
under Xfree86 4.1.0, according to this page:

http://www.xfree86.org/4.1.0/siliconmotion.4.html

Specific support for video output isn't mentioned, and I haven't
turned anything else up yet. Anyone else?

Thanks,
