RE: gargoyling the police site (fwd)

You can video tape anyone on the street. But if you are having a
"Private" one on one
conversation with an officer and record the audio your violating
wiretapping laws because the officer has an expectation of privacy.
About 2 months ago someone was in the news because they used a
microcassette recorded while being arrested for DUI, he was also charged
with wiretapping.

Aside from that it would be nice if policeabuse.org would use their
valuable time and technology to capture evidence of general abuse, in
other words the daily crimes that take place on the streets of
metropolitan areas, but that does not get you the big headlines.

Wow! Is that legal in the U.S.A. ?
Or rather - is the evidence permissable.
If everyone who got stopped for a speeding offense were allowed to
videotape the conviction would the officers "mind" at all ?

Answers on a postcard for western names associated with anti-social
phenomenon. Unfortunate name I guess but... Here I am focussing on
augmenting my reality when I could amplify it. Interesting looking stuff
they got there.
