I think the goal right now is to figure out the best possible solutions and then worry about price as a secondary. With time, the price will drop considerably. The idea is to get wearables to the point that they can be used on in greater capacities. Sure, newer and possibly better solutions can present themselves, but there will come a plateau that we can all work on. Take desktop computers. For the past 15 years, advances in computers have made it so that consumers wanted to keep updating their pc's to be able to do more "things" on them. Now, desktop technology has hit a plateau and there isn't a great demand to upgrade ones pc every 6 months. This is where we want to be with wearables. Right now, they have to be very specific and for niche industries because the available resources is very limited. If we can make or design the best possible solution, the cost for the resources will eventually drop. Once we have the best possible solution, then we can clone and make adjustments as needed. Right now, our biggest problems are: Power (batteries, charging, monitoring) Solutions Display Devices Input Devices (for the general public) Case Design Wearables can be a very large money making industry, but right now we are stuck in academics mode. We need to build a wearable that is "right" for consumers. Once that is done, we can drive down the costs with quantities. Also, from that point, we can make individual advances built on the design of the "ideal" wearable. At least, that's the utopia that I'm working towards. Zach -----Original Message----- From:[mailto:
